Why can the repair of this device be potentially deadly?

TV's can store high amounts of voltage inside small capacitors. This voltage could be equal to that of a defibrillator. Therefore, you need to be extremely cautious when taking apart your TV. Do this by using non-conductive plastic tools or by wearing rubber gloves.
