Sometimes cooking items do give of an odor the first time they are heated up. Sometimes a little contamination on the cooking surface. It's kind a matter of where the smoke was coming from, inside or outside and if it smelled like wiring insulation burning. Please give us a better description of the symptoms and if it worked or not.
