By plugging the hole in the hose that comes off the sunroof you made the problem worse. The hose is the drain for the trough around the sunroof . the hose runs down the passenger side pillar if you remove the pillar panel you will find the hose has been possible pulled up so it doesn't go through the floor to the outside of the car or the hose could have been plugged down farther and then the water backs up and cant escape. best fix for this is to remove the silicone then blow compressed air through the hose to clear it find the hoses dump point and plug the end then blow air in again and see if you can find anywhere there may be a hole in the hose If the drains plugged then there's no place for the water to go except into the car
