  • Make a mixture of 50% Rustoleum paint, and 50% mineral spirits. The paint will be very, very thin.

  • If you over-apply the paint, it will run down the sides! Over-applying the paint will negate all the hard work you put into prepping the car for painting. If it happens, use a rag doused with pure mineral spirits to wipe off the runs.

  • Apply several thin coats of paint onto the car. Wait approximately 30 minutes between each coat to allow the paint to partially dry.

  • You will probably have to apply at least five thin coats of paint before the body (especially the Bondo areas) are no longer visible. Don't rush, and don't over-apply the paint.

Préparez un mélange composé à 50 % de peinture Rustoleum et à 50 % d'essence minérale. La peinture sera très, très fine.

Si vous appliquez trop de peinture, elle coulera sur les côtés ! L'application excessive de peinture annule tous les efforts que vous avez déployés pour préparer la voiture à la peinture. Si cela se produit, utilisez un chiffon imbibé d'essence minérale pure pour essuyer les coulures.

Appliquez plusieurs couches fines de peinture sur la voiture. Attendez environ 30 minutes entre chaque couche pour permettre à la peinture de sécher partiellement.

Vous devrez probablement appliquer au moins cinq fines couches de peinture avant que la carrosserie (en particulier les zones recouvertes de Bondo ou autre résine de réparation) ne soit plus visible. Ne vous précipitez pas et n'appliquez pas trop de peinture.
