  • Thwarted by the lack of any more screw heads on the PSU-side of the PS4 Pro, we flip it back over and flip our attention to the the motherboard.

  • Burrowing through a layer of shielding behind the CPU reveals this cool X-shaped retaining bracket, similar to ones we found in another console.

  • And directly underneath it, we dig up a plastic-and-metal cover that looks to be the consumer electronics version of a pizza saver, protecting the back of the board from the heat sink retaining bracket.

  • Lifting the motherboard reveals a lot more thermal management. Highlights include a giant copper heat sink and dedicated pads for six chips on the motherboard.

Das Fehlen weiterer Schrauben auf der Netzteilseite der PS4 Pro hat uns ausgebremst, wir drehen den Kasten also wieder um und wenden unsere Aufmerksamkeit der Hauptplatine zu.

Unter einer Abschirmung über der CPU finden wir diese coole X-förmige Halterung, ähnlich der in einer anderen Konsole.

Und direkt darunter stoßen wir auf eine Abdeckung aus Kunststoff und Metall, die aussieht wie die Version eines Pizza Savers für Elektrogeräte, welche die Rückseite der Platine vor der Halterung des Kühlkörpers schützen soll.

Wir heben die Hauptplatine hoch und legen noch einige weitere Vorrichtungen zur Wärmeregulierung frei. Besonders hervorzuheben sind ein riesiger Kupferkühlkörper und spezielle Pads für sechs Chips auf der Hauptplatine.
