  • Dip a clean gloved finger into a new bottle of oil and spread a thin layer of oil over the gasket on the new oil filter.

  • This layer of oil will prevent the gasket from bunching up during tightening, and will make removing the filter at the next oil change easier.

  • Wipe off the oil filter threads and contact area on the engine with a clean rag or towel.

  • Place the new filter over the threads and turn it clockwise by hand until it is snug.

Dip een van je vingers (met handschoen!) in een nieuwe fles olie en spreid wat olie uit over de pakking van je nieuwe oliefilter.

Deze laag olie voorkomt dat de pakking vast komt te zitten en blijft hangen bij het vastdraaien van het oliefilter en maakt het tevens makkelijker om het filter bij de volgende vervanging van de olie te verwijderen.

Veeg het schroefdraad van het oliefilter en het contactpunt op de motor schoon met een schone (hand)doek.

Plaats je nieuwe oliefilter over het schroefdraad en draai het filter met de klok mee tot deze strak genoeg zit.
