  • Dip a clean gloved finger into a new bottle of oil and spread a thin layer of oil over the gasket on the new oil filter.

  • This layer of oil will prevent the gasket from bunching up during tightening, and will make removing the filter at the next oil change easier.

  • Wipe off the oil filter threads and contact area on the engine with a clean rag or towel.

  • Place the new filter over the threads and turn it clockwise by hand until it is snug.

Trempez un doigt ganté propre dans une bouteille d'huile neuve et étalez une fine couche d'huile sur le joint du nouveau filtre à huile.

Cette couche d'huile empêche le joint de se coller lors du serrage et permettra d'enlever plus facilement le filtre à la prochaine vidange.

Essuyer l'huile sur les filets du filtre et la zone en contact sur le moteur avec un chiffon propre ou une serviette.

Mettre le nouveau filtre sur les filets et tourner à la main dans le sens horaire jusqu'à ce qu'il soit bien ajusté.
