  • If you've verified the old element has failed, set them up sideways next to each other as shown. You will see your new element is missing a piece. Most new elements do NOT come with the high limit thermostat, this will need to be swapped over.

  • With your 6mm socket remove the bolt holding the high limit thermostat and *gently* pry back the top tab. Again *gently* pull the "L" shaped connector off the element terminal.

  • Your new element may or may not come with a screw hole for the thermostat. If not pry the tab back and slide it into the hole in the element where the old screw hole was and slide the "L" connector back onto the new terminal.

Si vous vous êtes rendu compte que l'ancienne résistance est défectueuse, posez-la à côté de la nouvelle. Vous verrez qu'il manque une pièce à cette dernière. La plupart des pièces neuves ne comprennent PAS de thermostat de sécurité, vous devrez donc le récupérer.

Avec une douille de 6 mm, dévissez le boulon qui fixe le thermostat de sécurité et appuyez délicatement sur la languette supérieure. Retirez ensuite délicatement le connecteur en forme de "L" de la borne de la résistance.

Il se peut que votre nouvelle résistance comprenne ou non un trou de vis pour le thermostat. Si ce n'est pas le cas, appuyez sur la languette et glissez-la dans le trou correspondant au vieux trou de vis de la résistance, puis remettez le connecteur "L" dans la nouvelle borne.
