  • Jack up your engine a bit more to fully clear the motor mounts. Be sure to watch that you do not jack the engine up too high - watch that you do not crimp any heater lines or other items on the firewall behind the engine.

  • Remove the mounts along with the heat shield.

  • Place the heat shield on top of the new mounts before re-installing them.

  • While you have your mounts out and the engine jacked up consider replacing your engine shocks if you feel they may be worn. These jobs are best done together instead of one at a time. Soulevez un peu plus votre moteur pour dégager complètement les supports de moteur. Assurez-vous de ne pas soulever le moteur trop haut - veillez à ne pas sertir de conduites de chauffage ou d'autres éléments sur le pare-feu derrière le moteur.

Retirez les supports ainsi que le bouclier thermique.

Placez le bouclier thermique sur les nouveaux supports avant de les réinstaller.

Pendant que vous avez retiré vos supports et soulevé le moteur, envisagez de remplacer vos amortisseurs moteur si vous sentez qu'ils peuvent être usés.
