ISSUE: Splitting at the bottom

  • A common issue is the zipper tape splitting from the bottom after the slider has been pulled up. This could be because the pin wasn't inserted all the way into the box and the sides of the tape are misaligned.

  • Carefully unzip the zipper and then check for debris in the zipper box.

  • Reinsert the pin into the zipper box, ensuring that it is in as far as possible, and re-zip the zipper.

  • If this method doesn't work or the slider is missing entirely, it's likely that a Coil Zipper Slider Replacement will fix the issue.

  • First, check that Steps 3 - 6 do not apply to the zipper and then proceed with the slider replacement.

Probleem: de rits opent aan de onderkant

Een veelvoorkomend probleem is dat de rits aan de onderkant opent nadat je de ritssluiter al naar boven hebt geschoven. Mogelijk zat de pin niet goed in de onderste stopper en zijn de ritstanden scheef in elkaar gegrepen.

Probeer de rits voorzichtig los te ritsen en controleer of er stof of vuil in de onderste stopper zit die voorkomt dat de pin goed in de stopper valt.

Steek de pin opnieuw in de onderste stopper en zorg dat je deze volledig doorschuift. Probeer de rits vervolgens opnieuw dicht te ritsen.

Als dit niet werkt of als je sluiter in z'n geheel ontbreekt, raden we je aan deze handleiding te volgen om het probleem op te lossen.

Kijk eerst of stap 3 tot en met 6 niet van toepassing zijn op de sluiter en ga dan pas verder met het vervangen van de sluiter.
