Clean the frame

  • Take your time during this step. A clean frame allows replacement adhesive to lay totally flat, ensuring a better bond.

  • Use a spudger and tweezers to scrape up and remove any screen adhesive from the perimeter of the frame.

  • Most of the adhesive should have stayed on the screen during removal, so there may not be any adhesive to remove.

  • Using some high‑concentration (>90%) isopropyl alcohol and a lint‑free cloth (or coffee filter), clean the areas of the frame where the adhesive was.

  • Be careful not to damage the silver foam pads around the perimeter of the phone.

  • Wait for any alcohol to dry completely before continuing.

Rahmen reinigen

Lasse dir Zeit für diesen Schritt. Wenn der Rahmen gut gereinigt ist, liegt der Kleber flach auf und das das Display hält besser fest.

Beseitige alle Kleberreste am Rand des Rahmens mit einem Spudger und einer Pinzette.

Der größte Teil des Klebers ist wahrscheinlich am alten Display geblieben, wahrscheinlich musst du nicht so viel Kleber vom Rahmen entfernen.

Beseitige alle Reste vom Kleber mit hochkonzentriertem Isopropylalkohol (mindestens 90%ig) und einem fusselfreiem Tuch (oder Filterpapier).

Sei vorsichtig und beschädige nicht die silbernn Schaumstoffstücke am Rand des Smartphones.

Lasse den Alkohol ganz abtrocknen, bevor du weiterarbeitest.
