Heat the bottom cover screw pad

  • Adhesive strips secure the bottom cover screw pad.

  • Heat an iOpener and lay it over one of the bottom cover screws for two minutes to soften the adhesive near the screw—this is where you'll insert a spudger in the next step.

  • You can also use a hair dryer or heat gun, but be careful as extreme heat will warp the pad.

Des bandes adhésives maintiennent fermement le cache de protection des vis du couvercle inférieur.

Chauffez votre iOpener et déposez-le deux minutes sur le cache de protection des vis du couvercle inférieur, pour ramollir l'adhésif autour des vis. Mémorisez l'endroit que vous avez réchauffé, car c'est là que vous insérerez votre spatule à la prochaine étape.

Pour ramollir l'adhésif sous le cache, vous pouvez aussi utiliser un sèche-cheveux ou un pistolet à air chaud, attention toutefois à ne pas déformer le couvercle inférieur en appliquant une chaleur excessive.
