Insert an opening pick

  • Once the screen is warm to touch, apply a suction handle to the top edge of the screen and as close to the edge as possible.

  • If your screen is badly cracked, covering it with a layer of clear packing tape may allow the suction cup to adhere. Alternatively, very strong tape may be used instead of the suction handle. If all else fails, you can superglue the suction cup to the screen.

  • Lift the screen with the suction handle to create a small gap between the screen and the frame.

  • Insert an opening pick into the gap between the midframe and the screen, to the right side of the earpiece speaker cut-out.

  • Leave the opening pick in place to prevent the adhesive from resealing.

  • Don't try to move this opening pick to the top right corner of the screen. There's a plastic pin on its rear side holding the display in position and blocking the way of the opening pick.

Ein Plektrum einsetzen

Wenn das Display so heiß ist, dass du es gerade noch anfassen kannst, befestige einen Saugheber so nahe wie möglich an der Kante des Displays.

Wenn das Display stark gesplittert ist, haftet der Saugheber vielleicht besser, wenn du das Display mit durchsichtigem Klebeband überklebst. Du kannst anstelle eines Saughebers auch, sehr starkes Klebeband verwenden. Wenn das alles nicht funktioniert, dann befestige den Saugheber mit Sekundenkleber am Display.

Hebe das Display mit dem Saugheber hoch, bis ein Spalt zwischen dem Display und dem Rahmen entstanden ist.

Setze ein Plektrum in den Spalt zwischen Mittelrahmen und Display rechts vom Ausschnitt für den Ohrhörer-Lautsprecher ein.

Lasse das Plektrum stecken, damit sich der Kleber nicht wieder verbinden kann.

Bewege das Plektrum nicht zur oberen rechten Displayecke hin. Das Display wird auf der Rückseite von einem Kunstoffstift in Position gehalten, dieser blockiert den Weg für das Plektrum.
