How to remove a stuck battery

  • If you're still having trouble removing the battery, apply a few drops of high concentration (90% or higher) isopropyl alcohol under the edge of the battery in the area of the broken adhesive strip(s).

  • Tilt the phone up so the isopropyl alcohol can flow toward the adhesive strip.

  • Wait about one minute for the alcohol solution to weaken the adhesive.

  • Use an opening pick or the flat end of a spudger to gently lift the battery.

  • Don't try to forcefully lever the battery out. If needed, apply a few more drops of alcohol to further weaken the adhesive. Never deform or puncture the battery with your pry tool.

Een vastzittende batterij verwijderen

Als je moeite hebt om de batterij in z'n geheel te verwijderen, kun je wat druppels hoog geconcentreerde isopropyl alcohol (>90%) in de buurt van de afgebroken kleefstrip onder de rand van de batterij toedienen.

Til je telefoon vervolgens vanaf de bovenkant op zodat de alcohol richting de kleefstrip kan stromen.

Wacht gedurende een minuutje zodat de alcohol in de lijm kan trekken.

Gebruik een openingsplectrum of het platte einde van een spudger om de batterij wat op te tillen.

Probeer de batterij er niet met botte kracht uit te wrikken. Indien nodig kun je wat meer isopropyl alcohol toedienen om de lijm verder te verzwakken. Voorkom echter dat je je batterij beschadigt, vervormt of doorboort met je wriktool.
