Flip the board over onto the lower case as shown.

To the right of the LCD panel are the switches for the scale's buttons. Each is a piece of curved sheet metal that pops inside-out when pressed and makes contact between pads on the board.

The switches may be covered by a piece of tape as shown. Carefully remove the tape and the switch pieces.

Clean the switch contacts below using alcohol and a cloth or towel.
