Remove the fan blades from the fan motor shaft

Insert two flat-head screwdrivers through the top of the fan opening in the fan assembly.

Position the head of each screwdriver opposite each other underneath the fan hub.

Use the screwdrivers to pry the fan off the shaft.

Remove the fan.
