Use a clean towel to gently rub the adhesive towards the edge of the lace to completely remove the adhesive.

GENTLY RUB or it can damage the lace (i.e. lace ripping, hair shedding out of lace, frontal balding).

After thoroughly rubbing the adhesive away, the lace should be completely clean of any residue and the wig unit is ready to be shampooed and conditioned.
