If you aren't sure how to use a multimeter, take a look at this guide.

Set your multimeter to the ohms (Ω) setting. If your meter has more than one scale for ohms (Ω), set it to (Rx1000).

Touch the probes to the contacts on the thermistor. The reading at room temperature should be about 12.5–14.5 kΩ. The photo shows a reading for a good thermistor.

If your thermistor reads outside the range above, or reads no continuity (OL) or 0.00 Ω, follow the next steps to replace it.
