The Sim Card Tray should be removed at this time. Although it is not necessary to remove, it is much more fragile than the frame and is liable to be damaged during the next steps.

Using a fingernail from the back side of the phone, pull the sim card tray straight out and away from the phone.

The sim card tray or reader inside the phone can be damaged if the tray is forced in upside down. Remember the orientation or refer to these photos here during reassembly.
