Reconnect the metal probe. Wrap this piece up in electrical tape and it will fit back in the cavity in front of the electronics board.

Connect the blue wire to the red wire and secure this with a wire nut and then secure that with electrical tape.

The green wire should just be cut and terminated, cover it an insulator or electrical tape.

Go in reverse order of step 1 and 2 to put the covers back on.
