At this point you will only have the wires keeping the lid attached to the unit, you can cut these wires, leaving enough wire coming from the control board to manipulate as needed.

There should be at least four wires of different colors.

Green Striped - Ground for Element and fan.

Red - Power for element and motor.

Blue - Power/Reverse for element and motor.

Black - 2 of the same small gauge black wires. (these are important in the next step)
