Remove the battery from the keyboard.

If there's any alcohol solution remaining in the keyboard, carefully wipe it off with a coffee filter or allow it to air dry before installing your battery.

Do not reuse the battery after it has been removed, as doing so is a potential safety hazard. Replace it with a new battery.

During reassembly, follow this guide if you are using a pre-cut adhesive card to secure the battery.
