The face plate can now be removed from the body of the radio. Gently pull on the face plate to separate it from the radio. It might require a little bit of wiggling to remove.

Be careful when removing the front panel. The connectors inside are known to have weak solder joints, and it is possible to pull them off of the circuit board.
