Disconnect the hand-held steamer unit from the accessory extension hose.

Grip the hand-held steamer and push down on the two release buttons.

Gently pull the accessory extension hose out in a horizontal motion until it disconnects.

When reassembling, be sure to insert the base of the hand-held unit first.
