Locate the area with a switch on the bottom half of the calculator. Make the sure the switch is on the left side of the switch area, which indicates that it is locked.

Slide the switch until it moves from the left side of the button area all the way to the right side.

Make sure to hear a click once you move the switch all the way to the right, which indicates the keypad is now removable.
