Introduction
The LCD is adhered to the digitizer / touch screen with double-sided tape around the edge, so it is relatively simple to replace it without having to replace the digitizer as well.
Although it is best practice to unplug the battery before disconnecting electronics, it is relatively safe to follow this guide if the laptop is completely powered down before starting. Be careful not to accidentally turn it on while working on it.
