What if it's locked to the owner and the Apple ID is security Locked ?
Hello Cyerra, Force Restarting the iPhone 12 Pro has no effect on activation locks. A security lock can only removed by the owner of the associated Apple ID, see here.

My phone wouldn’t turn no matter what I tried afterwards and I was without internet throughout the repair. The next day I reacquired internet and checked the guide again, at which point I recalled the force restart. Oddly enough the phone was already on when I went to attempt to force restart it, and it worked fine briefly, but then went back out and I was forced to proceed with the restart. It came back on and I was finally able to complete the repair by going into settings and clicking the ‘complete your repair’ button at the top. I had to update the phone first so if you’re planning to replace your battery, update your phone first and get that out of the way. Don’t forget to back up the phone as well just in case something does go wrong and you can’t access your data. Good luck.
