Since I was a kid, I have been taking things apart to get a closer look at their inner workings, especially mechanical and electronic devices.
I have a background in media design and a Bachelor of Engineering in Audio-Visual Media.
I joined iFixit Europe in 2014 as a customer service representative, supported our European event management by planning and attending several maker fairs and repair cafés.
Since starting the European content team in 2016, I am once again focusing on taking things apart by documenting device disassemblies for teardowns and repair guides.

crwdns2890332:0My galaxy buds had water damage and the buds work just not my casecrwdne2890332:0Did the case also suffer water damage? If yes, it might have internal corrosion. If not, maybe just the charging contacts are corroded. Try cleaning the contacts of your buds and in the case where they touch.
crwdns2890332:0Panic after changing batterycrwdne2890332:0Have you tried resetting the NVRAM / PRAM? This could solve the issue, but be aware that it also resets some minor preferences (see last bullets in the link). If you suspect the graphics card to be the culprit, do you have a dedicated graphics card and are you running some kind of CUDA drivers? They might get reset as well so make sure you are using the most recent drivers depending on your OS. BTW, which MacOS version are you running?
crwdns2890332:0My touch screen doesn't seem to be working on my Samsung Active2 watchcrwdne2890332:0Hi gary & chris, you might want to check if the display connector sits properly on the motherboard or see if there is any dirt or remnants of water inside the watch which may affect the touch function of the display. See this back cover guide to get inside. The top connector in the last image is the display. Also you can read this thread (Samsung forum) on water damage on Galaxy watches for more background information. If still under warranty from Samsung you may be eligible for a replacement or repair. crwdns2890332:0The watch was left in the sun and the back came off.crwdne2890332:0Sounds like the battery could be swollen and pushing the back off. The watch has four screws on the back which makes me wonder how bad it might look inside to make it come off. Just hold on a few more days and we’ll publish guides for opening the watch and replacing the battery as well as taking the core assembly out. If you want to try yourself before you’ll need a Tripoint Y00 screwdriver / bit to get the back cover off.
