Connect bottom hose to pump hose without locking it in all the way. Pulling hard you will pull the top portion of the hose through and feed it all the way over to the right locked in place

With the top hose attached make sure to feed around both ends of the pully and pull bottom hose through and push all the way to the right
Try it with a new hose
from what I can see this is not a replacement tutorial this is a tutorial on how to put the hose back into alignment on the pulley
A kink in a new hose while installing will happen. this DOES NOT MATTER as the 2 pegs rotating create positive and negative pressures as it rotates. a single kink will be unkinked during use due to rotation, that acts like a pump.

No, It holds the Hose Coupler in place, not allowing it to wiggle when machine in operation.
