I never set a Bios password but I Need to access it (I tinker with things) any ideas on how to reset it?

@grant25961 you really can't. Check the accepted answer to a very similar question. Now, that is not to say you could not try what the answer suggest about the ATMEL IC. For that, you will need to check your board and identify the IC etc.

Yep, you're done past 8th gen - someone on Badcaps cracked up the 8th gen ThinkPads and such, but anything newer is effectively a board swap :-(. It's not like some of the HPs and Dells where once they become mass eWaste like the G9 and G10 the methods become easier to get right.
