It's possible that it is caused by the BLOD. But it's also possible that it's just the power supply that is broken!
First, I would replace the PSU and see if that works, it's an easy test to check!

If it's still failing with a new power supply, then you might want to try a reflow and see how that goes.
Yellow Light of Death Repair - iFixit Repair Guide (I know that this is for the PS3, but it's just to give you an idea how a reflow works).
If that fails, you might want to consider a re-ball repair, those are very dificult and you need special tools also the skills to get this done. Most of the time it's easier to bring it to a professional to get it repaired.
Otherwise, you can replace the motherboard, but this is very expensive.
