OM-D E-M1 II Screen Blackout
My OM-D E-M1 II has started to having an intermittent fault where the screen blacks out but everything else is working.
It seems that the shutter is stuck. If I dismount the lens or remove the battery this can immediately rectify it. The camera will function again until the next time which could be 10mins or 2 weeks Weird.
Anyone have any idea what this fault is.

What is the state of the battery when this happens? Do you have a second battery set which is charged to swap in when it gets hung.

Hi Dan, thanks for the reply. I don't know what the state of the battery is when the screen blackout happens. Never thought to pay attention to it. I have been using the camera today on and off and the screen blackout has never happened once. But that's the way it goes. I have 3 batteries for this camera and will pay attention to the battery level the next time it happens. Thanks

realmente faz sentido se uma das baterias estiver perdendo corrente e travando o obturador, mas tambem faria sentido ela coneguir identificar uma queda de energia e gerar um aviso de falha ... por acaso voce se lembra se por alguma vez essa camera foi exposta a agua ou alta humidade, verifique o estado dos contatos da bateria dentro da camera e veja se estão normais ou oxidados .

the camera hasn't been exposed to any water or humidity damage and the battery contacts are all good.

I have noticed that the screen blackout happens less often with a fully charged battery. I inserted a battery with 28% charge and the screen started to blackout a lot. The battery went to 24 % and then to Battery Empty with no incremental diminishingment of battery charge status.
Also I am not so sure upon further inspection if the screen blackout is a stuck shutter. There is a possibility it is the eye sensor that is blacking out.
