Expect to cough up at least $75-100 for this one. The Haynes manual is aftermarket, the Bentley manual appears to be the OEM BMW manual for this car. The OEM Bentley is out of print, but Haynes still sells theirs.

@peterblanchard 1982-1988 BMW 528e that makes yours an E28. Since we do not know what specific repair you have in mind, start off with something like this BMW E28 525 524td 535 528e US Repair Manual It is a non-OCR scan. That means it is non-searchable (for now). You will have to do a lot of browsing to find what you are looking for.

@nick early 80's manuals are hard to find on electronic medium. That was a time where we still used paper manuals :-) No market demand for costly manuals like the Bentley's so they gave up on that. You and I know that the Haynes are marginal, depending of course on the type of repair.
