Hi Randy,

While you may get some generic answers by just telling us you're working on a lawn mower, chances are you'll get a much more specific answer if we know the manufacturer and model number of your particular lawn mower. I suggest editing your post to add that information to get some better responses.

As an example, if I knew the model number I wouldn't have to ask if this is a gas or electric mower. Assuming it's gas, have you removed the air filter and cleaned it or at least tried to run it without? Does it have a fresh tank of gas? Have you checked anything in the carburetor, such as the needle valve or float bowl? How about the spark plug; did you try cleaning it and checking the gap?

What have you done to try and troubleshoot the problem so far?
