No power even when plugged in, drawing low power

The laptop is not powering on at all, and shows almost no signs of life. I say *almost* no signs because, when plugged in, the laptop does draw some power, but not much. It's only drawing 5 volts @ ~0.055 amps. The charging light does not illuminate when plugged in, and the power button shows no light and does nothing either. I'm not entirely sure where to go from here in terms of troubleshooting or repair; any advice would be appreciated.

Hi @zoranic

It could be a faulty charging port. Did you try both Thunderbolt ports to check if they are both faulty or if one is OK? Go to p.3 (p9 of 64 pdf) to view the ports)

If only one is faulty then use a strong light and a magnifying glass to visually inspect the port to see if there's any lint etc, trapped in the port enclosure which may be preventing a good electrical connection and also if the pins are OK or if some are bent etc.

If both ports don't work, you will need the hardware maintenance manual and the schematics to find out what's wrong. (supplier example only as I couldn't find a free download online and this was the cheapest one).
