Many newer cars have the fuel pump integrated into the fuel pump assembly, which can only be replaced as a unit. In some cases the older ones can be serviced but that's super rare, if not nonexistent these days. Some cars with a base who tunes them (like the VW Golf R) have APR kits that can be purchased with just a pump, but you need to modify the fuel pump and splice wires.

Yours is the type where the pump is a disposable unit. The Ford part number is BV6Z-9H307-AX, which you can use to locate one. Do not buy a Chinesium clone for this - this is a safety part that can cause fuel leaks.

Once you have one, you generally have to disconnect the battery, then remove the back seat, and then remove the trap door. Once you remove the door, you will either need a fuel pump ring removal tool; however, it can generally be done with a screwdriver and a rubber mallet if the ring is made of metal. If the ring is plastic, you will need the tool, or you may need to replace both the pump and the ring. This video shows the procedure: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2FgFSEwj...

@Nick, thank you for your feedback. The fuel pump you described above is the low-pressure pump in the fuel tank. In my case, it's the high-pressure fuel pump with part number CM5E-9D376-CB that needs replacement. Please note that the mechanic used an OBD scanner to check the car before recommending a replacement.

@xpression easier job then the original fuel pump :-) Since there is no guide yet, use something like this video

While you work on your Ford Focus, take lots of pictures. Once you are done with it, take those pictures and create a guide for iFixit. That will help the next person that has the same issues as your Ford. It's easy and fun to create these guides. https://ifixit.com/Guide/new The iFixit community will appreciate this.
