The Q folder indicates that no OS has been detected. Ideally you would need a bootable USB to install an OS again, and with this laptop a USB > Type-C converter, or by using recovery mode to try a clean install. A tip I strongly recommend is once you are in disc utility, under the view option select show all devices & select the top layer of the internal drive to erase and format it to APFS & GUID Map. (Note that recovery mode might revert to OS 10.12 Sierra but the system supports OS 12.7.6 Monterey). Here is a link to apples how to install mac OS. IF you are unable to get into recovery mode then it can be possible that the internal SSD has been corrupted / damaged due to an incorrectly performed reset, something which I have come across a few times when buying defective units where the previous owners have said they had 'wiped' the drive before shipping to me. Try also booting with the option key pressed at chime, let us know if anything happens and we can go from there.

Thats the problem an incorrectly performed reset. I have tried recovery mode but once it starts the process it gives me error. I will purchase a usb to type converter to try to install OS. I will download the OS from apples site
@eddy93185 IF you have access to another mac, install https://github.com/ninxsoft/Mist and this can help download a newer OS (Monterey) and also help to create a bootable USB. Once the bootable has been created then power up + Option key and you should be able to selevt the new OS to install, remember to erase and format the internal SSD from the top level by selecting "show all devices".... IF the internal is not found then sadly you have a problem..... hope it works for you, good luck!
Thank you for all your help, let’s say in case it does happen what if I can’t find the internal what then? Is the laptop done for? Worst part is one of my clients gave it to me used as payment so I have no receipt
@eddy93185 You really need to be able to get to the disc utility feature and there you can see if the internal drive is found..... It maybe there and just not formatted correctly to do an installation. IF the internal SSD has failed (not listed in disk utility) then basically you have a problem as I believe these models the SSD was soldered in. Is the ssd upgradeable on MacBook Pro 15" with Touch Bar
