Joystick Replacement "sticking" before install

Well, it depends on what brand and which console. My Xbox's controller joysticks, for example, would also be stuck when I take it off and push it to the limit. That's because there's an area that the joystick wouldn't be able to reach because of the casing, and taking the casing off had caused it to go past its usual limit and as a result it became stuck. For Steam Decks, I'm not really sure if the same thing would happen, but it is a possibility that the plastic bag had damaged them. I'm afraid you would have to install them and test them again. It might just because the joysticks were pushed past its normal limit.
