Can I put a small cotton ball inside?

When I changed the batteries, I added a small cotton ball (from the end of a q-tip) inside to put pressure on the top circuit board on the battery so there would be good contact. Seems to be working fine. Is there any reason why I should not have done this? i.e. should I remove the cotton ball?

@paulfryd not sure why you need to do that since it really should not require any pressure but it is okay to use what you are using for that. No danger involved with this. You are safe :-)

Thanks. But I was also wondering if adding anything to the cavity would affect its sonic performance or ANC functioning.

@paulfryd Looking at where you said you added the cotton and given the size of a cotton tip applicator, I am absolutely sure that it will not impede the audio performance.
