Background
Released in June 2021, the Sony WF-1000XM4 earbuds are the follow up to the popular high-end WF-1000XM3 earbuds. They improve on almost every axis, offering advanced noise cancelling, better battery life, and water resistance.
The Sony WF-1000XM4 earbuds range between $129–$280 USD.
Identification
The Sony WF-1000XM4 uses its model number in its name: WF-1000XM4. The model number should be printed on the inside of the charging case, or you can check the original packaging. Otherwise, you can identify these earbuds by their horizontally-oriented charging case with the Sony logo printed on the top of the lid. The earbuds themselves are teacup-shaped and have a small metal nub where they charge.
The Sony WF-1000XM4 earbuds come in two colors: Black and Platinum Silver
