Why won’t my Sony Cybershot DSC-S500 not turn
I got new AA batteries for my cyber shot but it still won’t turn on, is it an issue that is inside the camera?

It could be caused by any number of things e.g. a power supply problem, faulty control board, mechanical switch problem etc. in the camera
Here's the SONY DSCS500 SM that may help.
It shows the disassembly procedure, has the schematic and block diagrams - see p.8-p.9 (of 18 pdf) and also a parts list.
All of this should help you to find the problem
