It could be caused by any number of things e.g. a power supply problem, faulty control board, mechanical switch problem etc. in the camera

It shows the disassembly procedure, has the schematic and block diagrams - see p.8-p.9 (of 18 pdf) and also a parts list.

All of this should help you to find the problem
