Popping sound and turns off, but also top screen issue.

Hello, I have the common problem where my 3DS tries to boot and makes a popping sound then turns off. However, I guess I adjusted the screen just right for it to turn on, but now I have another problem on top of the popping. Is this an issue worth fixing or should I just try and purchase a new console?

I also have a problem where one of the screws on the console is stripped.

It seems like you need to replace the top screen… I would try this first and see how it goes. It is very difficult to repair unfortunately.

Please check the guide and decide if you want to do this or not. While you are there, also replace the speaker assembly, just to be sure. Otherwise you could ask a local repair shop to do this for you.
