Popping sound and turns off, but also top screen issue.

Hello, I have the common problem where my 3DS tries to boot and makes a popping sound then turns off. However, I guess I adjusted the screen just right for it to turn on, but now I have another problem on top of the popping. Is this an issue worth fixing or should I just try and purchase a new console? [br]

I also have a problem where one of the screws on the console is stripped.[br]
