LG washer agitating without water
LG WM0642HW has decided to agitate without water. No codes displayed. Water sensor failure?
Update (01/11/25)
System reset seems to have fixed the problem, at least for one load.

Hi @steve69164
Here's some information that may be useful if the problem reoccurs some time in the future.
Here's the service manual. Go to p.19→ to view the diagnostic test procedures error codes, troubleshooting tests etc
Here's the parts list that is useful (the manual shows the parts but not the part numbers)
If there is a faulty part and it needs replacing, locate the wanted part in the list and note the manufacturer's part number that is shown with it. Search online for the part number, to find suppliers that suit you best.

Water sensor failure - probably. The tube may be blocked. However, the sensing switch may also be bad or stuck.

The type of water sensor can impact it's effectiveness with certain water & soap types. If it's just using a digital read, the issue could be as simple as a little glazed window that's not clear, so the machine thinks water is in the device. If it's a float valve it could be stuck up from something, so water is assumed in the system. Use the manual, in some cases maintenance & upkeep instructions can keep issues away, and that may help in the future too.

Did you just unplug your machine? I just bought a brand new set and happened to walk into the middle of a load where it was agitating wet clothes, but there was no water in the tub. Thanks.
