"Unknown" battery after authenticating with iOS 18 Repair Assistant
The battery replacement guide states:
On iOS 18 and newer, authenticate your new battery using Apple's Repair Assistant.
And...
After your repair, depending on the replacement part, you may be able to calibrate it using Apple's Repair Assistant, available as of iOS 18. Update your device, navigate to Settings → General → About → Parts & Service History, tap Restart & Finish Repair, and follow the onscreen prompts.
I did this, but it still says the battery is "unknown". My battery was iFixit brand, not Apple. But in the repair guide it sounds like this should work either way. Has anyone gotten this to work with an iFixit brand battery in iOS 18?
