Are all A1419s physically compatible?

I was working on converting a late 2012 iMac (A1419, EMC 2546, 2K display) into an external display. The LCD panel died on me in the middle of the process. I still kinda want to finish the project and found on eBay an LCD panel from a later A1419 with a 5K Retina display. I am wondering if it has the same dimensions as my dead LCD panel. Thanks.

Sadly it’s not that simple! The A1419 is like the Ford Mustang clearly the 1960 model is not the same as the latest version right?

Here we us the Model ID number to guide us, as an example your system is this one iMac13,2 while there are some exceptions displays are not transferable between these versions.

Thanks! I knew it was a long shot. I guess I'll be lurking on craigslist until I find an identical iMac.
