Battery not charging, cannot enter DFU mode

After updating to the macOS Sonoma beta my Mac stopped charging when plugged in. I bought a replacement battery for it after a year, got it all hooked up, it even powers on the machine, but it freezes and dies sometimes when the power cord is plugged in, and doesn't charge all the other times. I have tried putting it into DFU mode so I can restore the original firmware on the device, but I haven't been able to get it into that mode. Any ideas on what I should do? I'm not sure how much charge is left in this replacement battery.

Have you tried running Diagnostics? Use Apple Diagnostics to test your Mac if you get any errors let us know.

To monitor the battery and charging I would install CoconutBattery take a snapshot of the Apps main window and post it here so we can see things.
