MacBook Pro a2338 not charging

My macbook pro M1 stopped charging until it turned off.

I know that the charging ports are fine because I have tried connecting the motherboard of another macbook a2338 and this one does charge the battery.

The problem is that when I plug the defective motherboard back in I can't even turn on the computer, although now it does have a battery.

Shouldn't it turn on even if it doesn't charge if the battery is at 100%?

Does anyone know any tricks to turn it on without using the charger?

Is there any possibility of turning on the MacBook without charging, if we take into account that the battery is fully charged?

@juancarlos30510 - Think its like a three way hall light switch one with at the bottom and a second on the top of the stairs. If one switch fails then you can't turn on or off light.


Here we have an even more complex circuit as power from the charger needs to go to the battery to charge it but also go into the logic board to power it, and then when the charger is not plugged in the battery needs to power the logic board. These two chips as outlined in the video control the switching of power.


If I was working on the logic board during a repair I could inject power from a power supply to test things, but thats not practical within a completely assembled system.


Sorry your system needs logic board repairs. the chips are not very expensive and someone who has done a few of these can do it in less than hour (expect two between all of the other needed work to diagnose and test).
