Repair guides and disassembly information for the 14-inch MacBook Pro released in November of 2023, featuring M3 Pro and M3 Max SoCs.

Screen having constant glitch of lines/ghost-images across the screen

I was using my Macbook and it suddenly happened. The screen definitely didn't get accidentally opened too far or too hard, but it looks a bit like something isn't plugged all the way, if that makes sense. Like the lines that form the display are disorganized and moving/flashing around. I'll include a couple pics but it's a bit hard to see. Look at the lower half of the image where you can see the folder icon leaving this weird "gradient" or "trail":

It seems subtle on the image, but in real life when its moving and flashing around it is pretty distracting...

This is a scan issue within the display assembly. To prove it connect an external display with the lid closed using external keyboard and mouse you shouldn’t see these.

Check your warranty coverage, you will need a new display which is costly!
